In the spirit of Jesus Christ, Christian Community Action ministers to the poor by providing comprehensive services that alleviate suffering, bring hope and change lives. The main donation center is located at 128 S. Mill Street Lewisville, Texas 75057
Hours of Operation:
 Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and

Back-to-School Project

Designed to assist single parents and working couples with income below the annual poverty level, the Christian Community Action Back-to-School donation drive helps eligible pre-K through 12th grade children with a back-pack, books, some clothing items and a new pair of shoes. The average cost per student to provide all of these necessities is approximately $135. FMUMC assists in this annual drive in August and this year contributed $7,128. Contact Ed Andrews.

 


  

Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets

Flower Mound United Methodist Church is a long-time supporter of Christian Community Action's holiday food and gift drives, providing much-needed food items, frozen turkeys and monetary donations to struggling local families. CCA provides approximately 600-700 Thanksgiving baskets and another 800-900 food baskets for the Christmas season. A complete basket averages $33-$35. In 2008, FMUMC contributed $5,476 in the Thanksgiving drive and $6,670 to support the Christmas drive. These baskets are distributed to the working poor, primarily consisting of single mothers, the elderly and the handicapped. Contact Ed Andrews.
