The Mission Team’s focus at Flower Mound United Methodist Church is to share Christ’s love with others through our gifts and our service. Each year, our committee prayerfully considers mission projects that our congregation and church will support. We like to support causes our congregants are personally involved in. FMUMC members have many hands-on mission opportunities to consider and support, including:
- Angel Care Team Sisters visit two local assisted living centers each Wednesday morning.
- Blood donations occur twice annually when the Carter Blood Mobile visits us.
- CCA (Christian Community Action) gets our support in the form of holiday food baskets and school supplies.
- Fourth Friday meals give us a way to help residents of the Rocky Point mobile home community.
- Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver noon meals to homebound seniors each weekday.
- Mexico missions give us a chance to build homes for those needing them in the Juarez, Mexico area.
- Project Transformation helps children maintain their reading skills during the summer months.
- Wednesday workers are local day laborers who receive food from FMUMC members.
Other ministries FMUMC Missions support include Christ Foundry, Dallas homeless, Habitat for Humanity, Heifer International and disaster relief UMCOR.
