Looking for Team Members
Flower Mound United Methodist Church is currently seeking an office coordinator and a finance coordinator. As an active, vibrant and growing congregation, all candidates will have a commitment to Christ and to serving Flower Mound United Methodist Church’s mission, vision and values.
This is an hourly, part-time position working Monday – Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Responsibilities involve administrative activities including database management, worship bulletin production, calendar and communications coordination and oversight of Office Management volunteers. This role requires a high level of organization, communications editing with attention to detail. The ability to collaborate with a team of passionate, creative staff and church members is essential. Our ideal candidate is someone with high energy to meet deadlines, while being able to gracefully communicate needs and expectations. Technical skills include database management and working knowledge of Word with InDesign and ProPresenter experience preferred. This position is open to church member and non-church members.
This is an hourly, part-time position working Monday – Thursday for approximately 32 hours per week. Responsibilities include financial accounting, internal control, general ledger posting, reporting and analysis for the Church and Pre-School operations and ministries. Candidates may hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent experience in an accounting role preferred. Non-profit experience desired. Given the volume of sensitive financial and other personal information available to this position, we are seeking a non-FMUMC member for this role in an effort to keep such information confidential, internalized and impartial. Computer skills include working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, QuickBooks and intermediate experience with MS Excel. ShelbyNext or or other non-profit accounting software experience is highly desirable.
